Linking of social networks by icons
On our website, we also advertise the presence on the social networks mentioned below. In this case, the integration is ensured by an icon referring to the corresponding network. The use of such icons makes it possible, among other things, to avoid the automatic establishment of a connection to the server of the respective social network when visiting a website that advertises for social networks, and thus to display only the image corresponding to the social network. Only after clicking on this icon will the user be redirected to the services of the social network concerned.
After the user has been redirected, information about the user is collected by the respective network. It cannot be ruled out that the data collected in this way will be processed in the USA.
Initially, this data will include the user's IP address, the page visited, and the date and time of the visit. If the user is already logged in to his or her user account for the relevant network when visiting the site, the network operator may link the specific information about the visit to the user's account. If the user interacts with the "Share" button of the respective network, this information can be saved in the user's personal account and, if necessary, published. If the user wishes to prevent this information from being directly associated with his or her user account, the user must log out of his or her user account before clicking on the icon. There is also the possibility of configuring the respective user account to this effect.
